Pierre Trappers Roll Over Western Nebraska

The Pierre Trappers came into Wednesday Night’s game looking to keep from being swept by the best team in the Expedition League and that’s exactly what they did, and with authority as they won 11-4.

The Trappers had two innings scoring four runs, including the bottom of the first that set the tone for the rest of the game. Joey Carterman picked up the win in his last game with the Trappers this summer, as he allowed just one hit which was a home run. The pitching staff as a whole allowed just the one hit, the other three runs were unearned from the four Trapper errors in the game.

Zane Phelps continues to see the ball well as he hit for the third Pierre Trappers cycle in franchise history. Phelps quickly gave credit to his teammates to pull off the accomplishment…

For the Pioneers it was only their ninth loss of the season so for coach Tanner Neale, going 1-2 against this team means much more than what people might think…

With the one hit, Carterman picked up the win and for Neale, it’s hard to put into words how much he meant to this group…

This victory can go a long way in building momentum as they welcome in Badlands this weekend according to Neale…

The Trappers are back on the field tonight as they play the Big Sticks in a four game set. First pitch is at 7:05 on Capital City Rock and capitalcityrock.com.
