Pierre Trappers Split, Home Opener Tonight

The Pierre Trappers used a six spot I in the second inning as they earned a split with the Western Nebraska Pioneers winning 7-2.

The Trappers are now 3-4 on the season as all nine guys recorded a hit in the win on Thursday including a three hit night from Alex Gonzales and four different men drove in a run with Tyler Ranel driving in a game high two for Pierre.

Tonight is the home opener for the Trappers. Pierre native, Peyton Zabel will make his return to the mound as he will start for the Trappers looking to bring the team back to .500 with a win. First pitch is shortly after 7:00.
