Pierre Trappers Swept by Badlands

The Pierre Trappers were unable to score late as the Badlands Big Sticks scored three runs late to beat the Trappers 7-4 and sweep the series in Dickinson.

The Trappers have now lost five in a row and are 10 games under .500 with the loss. The loss also eliminates them from the Lewis Division title contention and any hopes of making the lone championship series in the playoffs.

Tavian Josenberger, Carter Howell and Nick Grossman all had two hits each while Grossman and Cooper McMurray split driving in the four runs for the Trappers.

Now, Trappers can start to play spoiler as the Big Sticks are in town for a three game set. The Big Sticks lead the division by 4.5 games over Souris Valley coming into Tuesday’s game. First pitch at Hyde Stadium is at 7:05.
