Pierre Trappers Walk off to Kick off Final Home stand

The Pierre Trappers on Tuesday hit a walk off single with Nick Grossman to give the Trappers their first win in six games and end the Badlands Big Sticks five game winnings streak.

The Trappers used the long ball three different times for three solo homers in the game courtesy of Cooper McMurray, Grossman and Pierre native, Spencer Sarringar. The Trappers were able to work around four errors in the ball game to get the win.

Michael Herrera hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 11 to tie the game at 7-7 after the Big Sticks scored their runner starting at second in the top half of the inning. Nick Grossman came up with the bases loaded and two outs and knocked a single between second and first into right field to win the ball game.

Trappers’ manager, Tanner Neale says it’s nice to finally be on the other side of a close ballgame…

Neale says things aren’t going the Trappers way this summer but the team is still fighting for each other…

And Neale says this is a fun win for guys to remember especially with how the world sits…

The Trappers and Big Sticks will continue the series on Wednesday with first pitch at 7:05.
