Pierre Woman Arrested For Possessing Stolen Car From North Dakota

An investigation by Pierre police into a stolen vehicle has led to an arrest. Captain Bryan Walz with the Pierre Police Department says the case started on Saturday January 12th with the report of a suspicious vehicle complaint in the 300 block of North Euclid Avenue. Officers following up on the case Monday learned the suspicious vehicle was reported as stolen from Mandan, North Dakota, over 200 miles away. The investigation determined that 27 year-old Pierre resident Chantelle Dubois was in possession of the stolen vehicle. She was taken into custody and transported to the Hughes County Jail on a single charge of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle.
