Post 8 Baseball Falls to Rapid City Post 22

The Post 8 baseball team was no match for the 29 hits that Post 22 combined for in the doubleheader sweep winning both games 16-2 over Post 8.

Multiple run innings for Post 22 in each of the two ball games was the difference maker. In the first game, the Hardhats struck quickly with five runs, the first two runs scoring on a Ryan Bachman home run…

Post 8 struggled to get guys on the base through the two games as they combined for just eight hits and scored just four runs. Garrett Stout took the loss on the mound in game one as Aaron Booth was the losing pitcher in game two.

In the second game a towering shot by Goble extended the lead and propelled the start to a six run third inning…

Matt Lusk drove in both runs on a base hit in the fourth inning but that’s all Post 8 could muster in the second game falling by the same score.

Post 8 is now 7-7 on the season and will open up the Dakota Classic on Friday. The first game is at 2:30, coverage will begin at 3:00 due to the live Calling All Sports Show from Pierre and you can listen on Today’s KCCR and todayskccr.com with Jon Winkler on the calls.
