Pierre Post 8 would take part in the board battle this past weekend in Mandan, North Dakota.
Post 8 would have a tough weekend as they would go 1-3. On Friday they would start the day off with the Mandan Chiefs and drop that game 8-4. Mathew Lusk would get the start as he went four innings, gave up eight hits, seven runs (six earned), three walks and three strikeouts.
The Second game of the day they would take on Bismarck and lose this game 12-2. Paker Pietz would get the start as he would go just one inning giving up six hits, five runs (four earned) and one walk.
On Saturday they would take on Bismarck again and lose a close one 5-1. Maguire Raske would get the start as he went four innings, one run (zero earned), two walks and eight strikeouts.
The final game of the board battle would be Post 8’s best as they would pick up their first win against Mandan 7-6. Garrett Stout would get the start as he would go six innings, gave up seven hits, five runs, two walks and nine strikeouts. This game would go into extra innings as the 8’s were able to score two runs in the top of the eighth to win.
