Post 8 Splits Double Header Against Sioux Falls East

The Post 8 baseball team was on the road again last night as they had to travel back out to Sioux Falls for a double header against Sioux Falls East.

In game one Post 8 would lead the entire game until the bottom of the seventh when Mitchell Tolk from East hit a shot up the middle with two runners in scoring position with no outs and drove both home to win the game 7-6.

Parker Pietz would get the start and went four and a third allowed five hits, five runs (three earned), three walks and four strikeouts. Post 8 would lead the game in hits with 10.

In Game two things would be different Post 8 would get on top and never look back. A five run top of the fifth would put the 8’s ahead for good winning 11-3.

Alex Badger would get the start he would go three innings, allowed two hits, three runs (one earned), and two walks. Kyle Stover came on for relief and went three innings as well, allowed no hits, no runs, two walks and one strike outs. Carson Tschetter would close the deal in the bottom of the seventh with one strikeout.

With the split Post 8’s record goes to 8-9 on the season. They will now be off till next Monday when Mitchell will come to town for a double header starting at 5 and 7 pm. You’ll be able to hear the games against Mitchell on Today’s KCCR AM 1240 and on todayskccr.com.
