Post 8 Travels to Minot for First Tournament of 2020

The seven game winning streak will be on the line beginning today, as Pierre Post 8 travels north to Minot for a round robin tournament with four games on Friday and Saturday.

After hitting a walk-off grand slam Wednesday night, and three grand slams overall in the last four games, Pierre has a lot of confidence heading into the weekend facing three North Dakota and a Minnesota team. Today at 3:30 Pierre will face East Grand Forks in game one followed by Bismarck to close out Friday. Saturday, Pierre will open up the day taking on Mandan for the third time this year at 10:00 AM. After a game break, the Eights will finish out Saturday with Minot at 2:30. If Post 8 finishes in the top two of the round robin, they will play a fifth game on Sunday for the championship.

Coverage begins today of the Minot tournament around 3:15 with first pitch scheduled for 3:30 but could be backed up due to other games. Jon Winkler will have the calls all weekend on Today’s KCCR and todayskccr.com.
