SDSU Volleyball Enters Busy 7-Day Stretch

The South Dakota State volleyball team continues a busy week when it hosts Western Illinois and Purdue Fort Wayne in the friendly confines of Frost Arena.

The Jackrabbits (3-16, 0-6) host the Fighting Leathernecks Friday at 7 p.m. and the Mastodons Sunday at 1 p.m.

SDSU went 0-2 in its last two matches, losing to South Dakota (3-0) and at Oral Roberts (3-1). In the matches, junior Makenzie Hennen led the squad averaging 3.14 kills per set and 3.29 digs per set.

Western Illinois (1-18, 0-6) dropped both of its home matches last week. The Fighting Leathernecks lost 3-1 to North Dakota State and 3-1 to Oral Roberts.

Purdue Fort Wayne (11-9, 2-4) is seventh in The Summit League standings after losing to Oral Roberts (3-1) and North Dakota State (3-1). The Mastodons play at Denver Friday.
