South Dakota Baseball to Meet Tonight

Another meeting will be held tonight for South Dakota Baseball in order to have a season after the National Headquarters of Legion canceled the seasons throughout the country. South Dakota is looking for an alternative to play this summer outside of the Legion umbrella and manager of Post 8 Brian White has said before the decision was made, he’s confident in having a season no matter what.

One of the alternatives is the Babe Ruth baseball league which hosts its own World Series and while its Regional Tournaments and World Series has not been canceled, White says it’s unlikely they join Babe Ruth…

Another question is will Post 8 stay Post 8 for the summer. White says he believes it won’t change…

And White lays out what will be discussed at the meeting tonight…

As it was when the Legion season was approved, South Dakota is looking for a mid-June start date to the season.
