South Dakota State Volleyball knocks off rival North Dakota in 5 Sets

South Dakota State volleyball team clashed with a long time rival in North Dakota last night in Brookings. The Lady Jackrabbits fell behind early, losing the first set and then going down 2-1 having to be forced to win the final two sets. In that fourth set, South Dakota State was able to squeak out a 25-22 win to force a fifth and final set which they cruised to a 15-7 win in set number 5 beating North Dakota and improving to 5-20 on the season and picking up their second conference victory of the year.

Leading the way for the Lady Jackrabbits was Ahslynn Smith with a game high 23 kills, while Maddie Fay finished with a team 29 assists.

Up next for the Lady Jackrabbits is a Friday night contest in Omaha, Nebraska against the University of Omaha. Senior night will be coming up this Sunday afternoon against Oral Roberts
