The Stanley County Commission is meeting tonight in Fort Pierre. Commissioners will consider approval of agenda, minutes and claims then will hear the Treasurer and Auditor’s report. The Commission will consider computers for the Director of Equalization and Treasurer. Scott Deal will update Commissioners on Fairgrounds activities including the Bleachers and New Year’s Eve Bull riding. Highway Superintendent Lee Smith will discuss speed limits on Bad River Road, a walk n roll pack, 2018 gravel crushing and transferring funds from the general fund to roads and bridges. Other road items up for consideration by the Stanley County Commission tonight include the boring of two waterlines under roads and a powerline request over 288th Avenue. Commissioners will consider the 2018 Hughes County Jail contract along with a consultant contract for 2018 Community Health Services and an agreement for Emergency Management services for 2018. The Commission will consider two raffle requests filed by the Oahe Hockey Association, the city/county Christmas part, the Christmas holiday and upcoming workshops, before meeting in executive session for a personnel matter. The Stanley County Commission meets tonight at five P-M in the Stanley County Courthouse Commission room. The meeting is open to the public.
