Stanley County Commissioners are wasting no time getting back to work in the New Year. They have their first meeting of 2018 tonight. Commissioners will consider approval of the agenda and of the minutes from the December 26th meeting. They will also wrap up 2017 business. Commissioners will organize the board and appoint a Chairman and Vice Chairman along with reviewing and approving claims and getting a report from the Auditor. The Commission is scheduled to meet in executive session for a personnel matter early in their evening. Commissioners will get a quarterly report from County Health Nurse Carmella Bourk and will hear from Fairgrounds manager Scott Deal on security cameras and a five-year contract for the 4-H Finals Rodeo. The Commission will meet with Highway Superintendent Lee Smith and will make Board Appointments and other official declarations such as newspaper and depositories. The Stanley County Commission will consider a resolution for Salaries and Wages for 2018 and a combined county/school election agreement. The Stanley County Commission meets tonight at five P-M in the Commission Room in the basement of the Stanley County Courthouse. The meeting is open to the public.
