The Stanley County Buffaloes struggled in the first half but the Buffaloes weren’t going to be upset in the first round of the Jones County Tournament as they beat the Bennett County Warriors 58-38.
The Buffaloes offense had a slow time getting going in the first half with just a nine point lead at the break 24-15, but Lathan Prince had the quick start in the second half for Stanley County as the Warriors were unable to keep up with the Buffs. Prince finished with 15 in the game but the game high went to Nathan Cook with 19. The Buffs are now 4-3 on the year.
The Buffaloes will face Lyman in the championship semifinals after the Raiders beat Colome 65-30 in the first day of the game. Lyman beat Stanley County to open up the season 60-50. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 and is the third game of the day on day two of the tournament.
