State Health Department Reports 48 New Covid-19 Cases Tuesday With No New Cases In Central South Dakota

(KCCR) — The State Health Department is reporting no new cases of Covid-19 in counties across central South Dakota. Only 48 new cases of the virus were reported statewide Tuesday. There are 895 active cases in South Dakota and 49 people remain in the hospital from Covid-19. So far seven-thousand 474 people have recovered from the virus and eight-thousand 492 positive cases have been recorded. The number of deaths remains unchanged at 123. Active cases among counties in central South Dakota include 41 in Dewey; 11 in Mellette; nine in Hughes; eight in Buffalo; seven in Lyman; six in Ziebach; two in Brule and one in Potter and Tripp. There are no active Covid-19 cases in Stanley, Jones, Hand, Hyde, Sully, Haakon and Jackson Counties.
