Stout Picks YMCA for Gatorade Grant

At the end of 2019, Garrett Stout, The Pierre Governors quarterback was selected as South Dakota’s Gatorade Football Player of the Year. Stout had the opportunity to pick a local sport organization to receive a $1,000 grant from Gatorade’s Play it Forward initiative in conjunction with the Gatorade Player of the Year program. Stout decided to choose the Oahe YMCA to receive the grant from Gatorade.

Through the Gatorade Play It Forward program, all 607 Gatorade Player of the Year award winners have the opportunity select a youth sports organization to receive a $1,000 grant to help the next generation of athletes reap the benefits of sport.
