Sully Buttes Hosts Faulkton Area in Final Doubleheader of the Year

After defeating Sunshine Bible Academy relatively easily on Tuesday night, the Sully Buttes Chargers will face a tougher team in the final doubleheader of the season as the boys and girls welcome in the Faulkton Area Trojans to Onida.

The Charger girls are facing a Faulkton team that has moved into the rankings in Class B this week but lost to a tough Miller team on Tuesday by 22, 59-37. The Chargers were unable to knock off Miller but lost by just 13 back on January 16. The Trojans, though, come into tonight touting a 16-3 record and had won nine straight before Tuesday. Faulkton Area is atop the Class B Region 2 standings while Sully Buttes sits in fifth place and would have to travel to Lower Brule if the postseason started today.

The Charger boys didn’t have many problems with Sunshine Bible Academy on Tuesday as they improved to 14-2 on the season and have now won back to back games after falling to Herreid/Selby Area. Faulkton Area ended an eight game losing streak on Tuesday beating Miller by just seven points. Faulkton is at 9-9 and in sixth place in the Region 2 standings.
