The Sully Buttes Chargers are in Miller on Thursday night as they take on the Class A Rustlers in a boys and girls doubleheader.
The Charger boys are in the midst of a busy week after nearly storming back and stealing one from Ipswich on Tuesday, but now look to right the ship and eliminate the turnovers against the Class A Rustlers. The Chargers are currently tied for sixth place in Region 2B. Miller is in fourth place in Region 6A out of the four teams playing this season. The Rustlers come in at 2-6 on the year and are coming off a loss to Redfield on Tuesday 81-59. However, three players hit double figures in the loss including Spencer Fernholz, Alex Schumacher and Trevor Werdel who had the team high 19 points.
In the girls contest, the Sully Buttes Chargers come in at 4-5 on the season and look to even its record against a stout Miller girls team who are 5-3 on the year beating Redfield on Tuesday 45-39. Miller had two players score in double figures to lead the Rustlers to victory. The Rustlers currently sit in the top spot of Region 6A above Mobridge-Pollock and Chamberlain.
