Sully Buttes senior Lincoln Jordre, a standout center on the basketball team, has signed a letter of intent to play basketball for Northern State University.
The six foot nine inch Jordre led the team in scoring last season, with an average of 19.5 points per game, along with 8.8 rebounds and just over three blocks a game. To enhance his skills, Jordre has attended numerous summer camps and specialty camps for big men. He was also a runner for the Charger cross country team.
Lincoln is the oldest son of Clark and Patty Jordre of Onida—who both also competed in athletics at the school in Aberdeen. Lincoln also has a younger brother, Quinn, who also plays basketball for Sully Buttes.
Last season Sully Buttes finished third in the boys state basketball tournament, coincidentally played at Barnett Center at NSU.
