Scoring runs of 56 and 58 yards on their first two offensive plays, the Sully Buttes Chargers racked up 339 yards of offense—all on the ground—to defeat Burke/South Central 56-0 last night in Onida. The game was called at halftime due to the mercy rule.
Morris Hofer scored four touchdowns and compiled 107 yards rushing, while Mackenzie Weinheimer added three scores, and racked up 228 yards rushing. Quarterback Devan Kleven attempted no passes during the contest—and only on extra point tries. Sully Buttes only allowed 108 yards total offense to the Cougars, most of that in mop up time.
Sully Buttes will now face the Colome Cowboys—last years Class B state champion—Friday, November 3rd.
