With the season approximately one month old, the Sully Buttes Charger volleyball team had their first home match of the season, and came away with a 25-21, 25-21, 33-31 win over Lyman Thursday night. The Chargers and Raiders played this game as close as the scores indicate—and no lead was bigger than six points.
The Chargers were led in kills by senior Lauren Wittler, and sets by senior Brooklyn Bradford. Kendra Kleven added six aces for the match. For Lyman, junior Kayt Garnos played strong at the net, and led the way in kills, and also with service aces.
Next up for Sully Buttes—now 8-5 on the season, is a home contest against Timber Lake Monday night, while Lyman(5-8) will face Bennett County in Presho Saturday.
