Thursday morning with the snowfall ending, three Pierre Governor football players signed their National Letters of Intent to play college football. Gage Gehring signed with Northern State to play defense, Nathan Schnabel signed with Dakota State to be a lineman and Zane Schuchard signed with Valley City State College as a tight end.
The three seniors leave Pierre with back to back state championships, something that Schuchard didn’t think that would happen a couple of years ago.
Although the three players will be heading to different schools, it doesn’t take away the excitement from Schnabel who can’t be happier for his teammates
For Gehring it was an easy choice because of how the defense for Northern State plays
Coach Steve Steele spoke highly of all three players and pointed out they took different paths in order to sign to play college football
