A quick two game series opened up on Monday as the Pierre Trappers are in Fremont, Nebraska facing the Moo, who swept their first opponent and continued to be undefeated now at 4-0 as they beat the Trappers 6-3 in the opener.
Carter Howell and Cooper McMurray were the two Trappers to drive in runs in the loss on Monday as the Moo opened up a 3-0 lead after three innings and never looked back. Michael Newman took the loss on the mound for the Trappers as he went two and two thirds giving up three runs, two earned in the loss while striking out four of the eight batters he retired.
The Trappers will look to beat Fremont on Tuesday for their first loss in 2020 and earn the split of the quick two game set. First pitch is at 7:05.
