Trappers Wrap Memorial Weekend 2-1

PIERRE, S.D. (TodaysKCCR.com) — The Pierre Trappers kicked off their season over the memorial weekend going 2-1 against the Hub City Hotshots.

On Friday, the Trappers opened up the season at Aberdeen with a three run first inning. Hub City would get two back in the bottom of the fourth to make it, 3-2. Both teams would trade runs in the 5th to make it 4-3. The Trappers would get two more runs in the 6th and 7th making it 6-2 going into the bottom of the 8th. The Hot Shots would score 5, including a grand slam Ty Denzer to take the lead for good making the final 8-6.

Pierre would come home to Hyde Stadium on Saturday and blank the Hot Shots 4-0. The Trappers scored runs in the 5th, 6th and 7th innings.

On Sunday, a five run 5th inning and a four run 7th inning would propel the Trappers to a 12-4 victory over Hub City.
