Two Men Arrested After Being Asked To Leave Residence

Pierre police arrested two men Monday after the owner of a residence no longer wanted them inside. Officers responded around 11:20 am to the 1600 block of East Dakota Avenue to a report of unwanted people in a residence. Upon arrival, officers located 26 year-old Pierre resident Normal Little Shield in the residence. A second man, 20 year-old Lyle Firecloud of Ridgeview, was seen walking from the residence. An investigation determined that neither Little Shield nor Firecloud had permission to be at the residence according to the owner. As officers spoke to Little Shield, Little Shield was using a false name. He also exhibited signs of drug impairment. Little Shield admitted to officers he had recently ingested a controlled substance. Little Shield was arrested for Ingestion of a Controlled Substance and False Impersonation. Firecloud was taken into custody on a valid warrant for his arrest. Both men were transported to the Hughes County Jail.
