USD Moves Up One Spot

VERMILLION, S.D.–South Dakota is up one spot to No. 6 in the FCS Coaches Poll announced Monday following the team’s 42-0 win against Southern Illinois.

The Coyotes have been ranked in the top-10 for six consecutive weeks and have reached as high as No. 4. The Coyotes are one of five teams from the Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) ranked in the top 20.

In addition to North Dakota State at No. 2, South Dakota State is No. 8, Illinois State is No. 13 and Western Illinois is No. 18. Youngstown State and South Dakota’s next opponent, UNI, are both receiving votes.
