Volcker Alliance Gives South Dakota Good Marks For Financial Stability

(WNAX) — Another outside group has given the State of South Dakota good grades for financial stability. The “Volcker Alliance” gave the state A or B grades in five categories, budget forecasting, budget maneuvers, legacy costs, reserve funds, and transparency.  Lieutenant Governor Matt Michels says stability is very important to financial markets and businesses….

South Dakota was the only state in the report with a positive number for the state retirement system.
