Lepisto says the effort, now in its ninth year, recovered over two-thousand pounds garbage, debris, refuse and rubble…

Lepisto says the clean-up effort again had great response from not only local agencies, but private individuals to help make the most of the event…

The event was held on Wednesday and based operations out of Down’s Marina in Pierre. The event is co-organized with the Central South Dakota Chapter of Walleyes Unlimited. Since 2009 over 19 tons of debris has been removed from the Missouri River during the effort.
