Walk-Ins Turned Away From Tyler Wilcox Memorial Blood Drive As Appointments To Donate Max Out

(KCCR) — Day one of the Tyler Wilcox Memorial Guns ‘n Hoses blood drive went so well, donors had to be turned away. Abbie Arneson with Vitalant Blood Services says Day One 2020 is a record…

Arneson says with Thursday and Friday full, walk-ins are still welcome, but appointments get priority…

The participation Wednesday is something Arneson has only heard about…

There is also no clear leader between the Guns and Hoses after Day One…

After Day One, 142 units of blood have been collected. There were 22 first-time donors and the Guns and Hoses are tied at 72.  Blood donations are being taken Thursday at the Pierre Faith Lutheran Church from 11:30 am to six pm.
