Winter Weather Advisory In Effect For Monday

PIERRE, S.D. (TodaysKCCR.com) — A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Hughes, Stanley, Sully, Potter, Hyde, Lyman and Jones counties till 6pm Monday (December 4, 2017).

According to the National Weather Service Office in Aberdeen, snow and blowing snow are expected to begin later this morning. Winds gusting as high as 60 mph will cause areas of blowing and drifting snow.  In addition, areas of poor visibility are expected. Damage to trees and power lines is possible. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are expected.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means periods of snow and blowing snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
