Wrestling Gets Back in Action this Weekend, Pierre Opens Season

The threat of snow through most of the state last weekend cancelled most of the wrestling meets. Now as the weekend is here, most schools are back in action tonight and tomorrow.

For Stanley County, their invitational was cancelled last Saturday and after the Lyman Triangular on Thursday November 29th,the Buffaloes have not competed since and will head to Gregory tomorrow and compete in the Gregory Invitational.

The Pierre Governors were supposed to kick off the season last weekend in Watertown but decided not to go because of the snow and nowt hey will officially start the season in Rapid City with the Rapid City invitational going on today and tomorrow. Coach Shawn Lewis says he is excited to finally be able to see what his team can do this season. Pierre is coming off multiple team state championships and looking to defend the championship again.
