Ziebach County Records First Case Of Covid-19

(KCCR) — State Health officials say 58 new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in South Dakota residents. State Epidemiologist Dr. Josh Clayton says 10 more people are being treated at hospitals in the state and five more people have died…

“Those deaths occurred among Minnehaha residents.  We have 82 individuals who have recovered from Covid-19 as well as 336 new negative tests that have been performed.”
Clayton says positive cases in South Dakota are now at 2,779…

“We are at 773 active infections and 1,977 recovered individuals.  In total, we’ve had 230 hospitalizations and 29 deaths.  Total negative tests that have been performed to date include 16,637 tests.”
Twelve counties were reporting new cases as of Wednesday…

“One in Brookings; five in Brown; two in Day; two in Grant; six in Lincoln; 36 in Minnehaha; one in Moody; one in Oglala Lakota; one in Roberts; one in Todd; one in Turner and one in Yankton.”
Ziebach County is reporting its first case of Covid-19. That case is active and has been hospitalized. Other changes for central South Dakota counties include Stanley now having five recovered cases and three active. All other central South Dakota counties with previous cases remain unchanged.
